Parking in All of Your BrainCreativity Challenge 1998 #29Hello Creativity Challenges Fan In 1979 I began my doctoral program at the University of Georgia with E. Paul Torrance as my major professor and Sid Parnes on my committee. As I looked for a research topic I became interested in learning and teaching and thinking style and their relationships to creativity and creative thinking. One of the people I met and learned a great deal from was/and still is Ned Herrmann, founder of the Whole Brain Corporation and the HBDI, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument. As I studied it I discovered it a great tool/approach for generating my own creative thinking. As Ned has written, spoken and taught for years the more creative individuals learn to use all aspects/approaches/parts of their brains. That is your challenge this week...use all of the four primary brain dominances Upper left....the rational, Lower left...the systematic, Lower right...the emotional/team, and the Upper right...the intuitive. Your challenge is to stop other people from using your "paid for by you parking" spot in your office building's parking garage without offending your major client of the past 20 years, who owns the building. It is one or more of your client's employees who are wrongly parking in your spot two or three times each week. Your challenge is to use each of the four primary brain dominances to generate 3 possible solutions each for a total of 12. Expand your creativeness and have fun this week.
