Throughout this year of CCs I am using a system to create the various CCs. It is based on the 20 creative thinking skills that my mentor and friend, E. Paul Torrance, has researched and tested for now for 20+ years. Each CC will be designed to focus on a specific learnable creative thinking skill.

This CC is based on "Elaboration". Many highly creative people tend to see, perceive and create very detailed ideas and solutions.

So each day take a basic object in your reach and list 6 to 12 of it's details.

Then list 6 creative ways to creatively improve each individual detail (total 72 to 144 ideas).

i.e.:

a paper clip

1. 1 1/4" long
2. 9/32's wide
3. 3/64" thick
4. silver

1. 1 1/4" long make it 2" to hold more paper
   make it 2'-0" for a store display
   make it 40'-0"for a billboard
2. 9/32's wide moderately wider
   very wider
   extremely wide
   narrower
3. 3/64" thick etc.
4. silver copper
   gold
   aluminum
   wood
   plastic
   rubber
   

Challenge yourself to push for as many ideas as you can each day.
