Using Our Senses One at a Time

Creativity Challenge 1999 #51

Happy Holidays to y'all from Athens, Georgia!!!

This week use your powers of observation. Use as many of your senses as you choose or can, one at a time.

  1. Choose a room, area or space outside.

  2. Record everything you can experience with a single sense for ten minutes.

  3. Attempt to shut off the other senses while you're doing it. If smelling, close your eyes and try not to touch anything and cover your ears.

  4. Then take 10 minutes to make a story out of as many of the details as you can.

Monday - sight
Tuesday - hearing
Wednesday - smell
Thursday - touch
Friday - taste

If you are challenged with any of these senses then substitute the sense of "feel" or "emotion" or repeat one of the others.

The more we practice and strengthen our creative skills the greater they will grow.

Happy Holidays to you one and y'all!!!
