Taking Mini-AdventuresCreativity Challenge 2001 #11This past week I spent in San Francisco (March 1st - 6th). Part of
the time was spent attending the NSA Western Winter Workshop. The
rest of the time was spent experiencing San Francisco. . .
from downtown, the Financial District to the Oakland Bridge along the Embarcardo around past Fisherman's Wharf, the Cannery to Persidio, the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park with its Japanese Gardens, Haight Asbury, China Town and all the places inbetween. With maps and Muni Pass in hand I journeyed opening myself to adventures for all my senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, smell and aesthetic. This week I encourage you to journey through as many places as you can in your hometown or if you are traveling, where you will be. Monday
Go walking for a half hour to an hour or so where you haven't been
before or haven't been in a long time. Try to imagine you are
someone who has never seen your town or city before. Tuesday
Ride a bus somewhere you haven't been yet. Wednesday
Eat food you normally do not eat. Thursday
Ride a bicycle in a new area. Friday Choose a store or two and roam around it truly using all your senses. Enrich your creativity through expanding and enriching your life's experiences. Have a fun and creative week. Prev Page Next Page Index Page© 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 Robert Alan Black, Ph.D. CSP | |
