"Flamingos in the Men's Room"

Creativity Challenge 2001 #30

This week my sparking source is

PENCIL DANCING by Mari Messer

Chapter 18. Flamingos in the Men's Room sparked this challenge. The sub-title is "The Use of Useless Information"

During the week collect useless pieces of information in different categories and think about how it might be useful in solving a future problem you may have.

MONDAY geography

TUESDAY jewelry design

WEDNESDAY trash that people throw out

THURSDAY statistics from a mix of sports

FRIDAY general stuff from a news report or newspaper.

For years I have collected trivia books for fun as a hobby. Often I will take one down and read it randomly for a few minutes. Some times I will do this while working on a problem looking for leaps or tips or simply just as part of a time of incubation.
