"I Finally Met the Enemy and It Was Me!"Creativity Challenge 2001 #31This week my sparking source is THE WRITER'S IDEABOOK by Jack Heffron Ask he writes on page 14 "…we use the role of the victim to stop ourselves from being creative. He refers to Dawn Callan's book AWAKENING THE WARRIOR WITHIN when she speaks of "owning your victim self". This meant to be a time spent examining what are some things that get in the way of us being more creative than we are or creating more of than we do. Each day take some time to list 6 to 12 ways each daily category might be interfering with you being creative right now in your life. Then take some time writing down 1 to 3 ideas of how you might change each of them now. MONDAY
your family TUESDAY
your job WEDNESDAY
your house THURSDAY
the town/city you live in FRIDAY this time of year Yes this may be painful or frustrating. Yet in the end some very powerful and positive benefits may come from you taking the time to do each exercise. I wish you the best this week.
