Creativity Challenge 2001 #40
With my Wandering Nature this summer I have gotten off schedule with my weekly Creativity Challenges. Yesterday I returned from a shorter trip to Mauritius and South Africa. Mauritius for a short vacation and two presentations as part of a promotion for a very big project there. South Africa for the 7th International Creativity Conference in Africa, outside Warmbad, South Africa at the Klein Kariba resort. Mauritius is a beautiful island country in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. Klein Kariba is a beautiful oasis like resort in the bush north of both Pretoria and Johannesburg with mountains, streams, pools, ponds, lakes, trees, trees and more trees and huge numbers of monkees, baboons, and another native furry little animal the size of a woodchuck without a tail that act much like squirrels in nature.
I created this CC for the entrance to one of my sessions at KK.
I suspended an umbrella from the drapery rod and challenged the delegates to list 12 potential uses for it other than as an umbrella.
So each day this week choose an object, perhaps an umbrella to start and take 15 to 30 minutes to generate 12 or more potential or possible uses for it other than what it was initially created for.
Tuesday - Use a bicycle
Wednesday - Use a lawn mover
Thursday - Use a ten-pin bowling ball
Friday - Use a cricket or baseball bat
Have fun looking or creating new potential or possible uses.
Glad to be back to the U.S. again.
