PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES

Creativity Challenge 2001 #46

Two of the more common traits of highly creative people that we each can learn from are 1) they collect things and 2) their intense curiosity about things. This CC has been designed to capitalize and provide exercise using both traits.

Begin by taking a blank piece of paper or using a typewriter or some computer like device and list the English Alphabet or any other alphabet you use vertically.

Then make lists of words beginning with each letter next to each separate letter that are PROCESSES, PROCEDURES or PRACTICES.

I.E.: a adjust, add
d dice, deck, describe, divide
h handle, hold
k knife, knead

Next step is to randomly arrange the 26 letters into 5 groups of 5 or 6 letters.

I.E.: a, j, q, w, c

MONDAY - Choose one of the five groups and think of examples of when you use or you know these PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES are used to produce something.

TUESDAY - Choose another of the five groups and think of examples of when you use or you know these PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES are used to produce something.

WEDNESDAY - Choose one of the three remaining groups and think of examples of when you use or you know these PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES are used to produce something.

THURSDAY - Choose one of the two remaining groups and think of examples of when you use or you know these PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES are used to produce something.

FRIDAY - Choose the remaining group and think of examples of when you use or you know these PROCESSES, PROCEDURES & PRACTICES are used to produce something.

This CC is practice for next week's Creativity Challenge 2001-47.

Examine one, two, three and four or more dimensional things.

Have fun challenging your memory and imagination.

Alan
