Creativity Challenge 2002 #04

This week let's work on developing our abilities to "Breakthrough from Current Limits".  It is one of the creative thinking abilities that E. Paul Torrance measures with his TTCT (Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking). Collect several photo post cards, old photos from trips (print or slides), photos cut from or in magazines or old books. Take the collection you assemble and sort them into 5 piles by shuffling and dealing them like you would a deck of playing cards. Then for 15 to 30 minutes each day do the following to help expand your abilities at Breaking through from current limits or conditions.

MONDAY
Describe what might have happened just prior to the time the photo was taken.

TUESDAY
Describe what might happen just after the time the photo was taken.

WEDNESDAY
Describe the people or the animals in the picture and what they might have been thinking

THURSDAY
Describe the natural scene and what the conditions are: light, heat, wind, etc.

FRIDAY
Pick one color at a time and find everything of the color in the photos.

Have fun reliving, recreating and creating this week.

Alan
