Humanizing PerspectivesCreativity Challenge 2002 #27Over the past few years there have been a mixture of movies released in which the characters were animals or objects. I vaguely remember from English class that when we give human characteristics to objects it is called personification. I don't recall what it is when we do the same for animals. Perhaps you remember. One skill we can all further develop to expand and enrich our creative thinking abilities is are abilities to see from multiple and unusual perspectives. Let's practice this ability. Each day choose an example from the category provided and imagine how your selection would see, smell, taste, touch, hear, imagine a situation. MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY Have fun with your imagination. Let it wander. Try not to think and feel like the thing you have chosen not a human being. Being creative is a choice. Make it your choice most of the time. Alan © 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 Robert Alan Black, Ph.D. CSP |
