This CC was sparked by Jack Tally and his question about "unconventional creativity" and his newly created term "McCreativity".

I became a fan of Bucky (Buckminister) Fuller: architect, planner, inventor, thinker, author, speaker, dreamer while I was an architectural student in the early 1960s. One of his characteristics was he made up words when he couldn't find one that suited his thought. Years later as a doctoral student I met and interviewed John Gowan, noted writer, researcher, professor of gifted education. He too created his own terms and words to explain his new concepts.

This week let's have fun creating new terms and words.

MONDAY
Like the author of the recently released book: SEEDS OF INNOVATION let's create our own terms using metaphor, analogy or simile. Today create the longest list of new terms for ways of looking at, explaining or studying INNOVATION.

(blank) of Innovation Using fruits, vegetables, plants, natural things create the longest list of terms as you can; i.e.: Prunes of Innovation, Pits of Innovation, etc.

TUESDAY
Like the author of the recently released book: SEEDS OF INNOVATION let's create our own terms using metaphor, analogy or simile. Today create the longest list of new terms for ways of looking at, explaining or studying CREATIVITY.

Use man-made objects, things, machines, artwork, etc. to create your term; i.e.: Engine of Creativity, Light bulb of Creativity, Machine Gun of Creativity, etc.

WEDNESDAY
Today create the longest list of new terms for ways of looking at, explaining or studying INNOVATION using SPORTS analogies, metaphors, similes, terms.

Home Run of Innovation, Tackle of Innovation, A Dunk of Innovation, etc.

THURSDAY
Today create the longest list of new terms for ways of looking at, explaining or studying CREATIVITY.

Use terms, thoughts, concepts from business, industry, advertising....to create new terms, phrases, words.

FRIDAY
Now that you have been warmed up this week for 4 days to create new terms, phrases and words create the longest list of types of "Thinking": rational thinking, dumb thinking, quick thinking, pokey thinking, sticky thinking, smooth thinking.

Have fun using your mind, other people's minds, dictionaries, thesauruses, etc. Strive to create the longest lists you can in 15 to 30 minutes during your daily Creative Thinking Skill Development Exercise Time.
