Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-13
Creative Thinking Sounds Soooo Gooooooooood!!!????Our senses can help us generate creative thinking. This week let's experiment with our sense of hearing. Take some time beforehand and collect several sounds from around your house or go to a music, cd-audio tape store and roam the aisles looking for and collecting sample sounds. Then each day experience collections of sounds and allow yourself to react creatively. You might choose to simply generate ideas using various creative thinking tools of your choice, perhaps a different one each day. Check out any of the great books that have collections of tools and techniques by Andy van Gundy, Michael Michalko or Jim Higgins or even me. MONDAY Pleasant natural sounds TUESDAY Rock and Roll from the 1960s WEDNESDAY Disco Music from the 1970s THURSDAY RAP and/or hip hop FRIDAY classical or orchestral music The goal is to practice generating creative thinking with the aid of sound. Please send examples of your results. I'll collect them and share them all later with your approval. Have a fun week by tremendously support of the creativity that surrounds you.
