2011 Work consisted of

January in Kuala Lumpur doing a 2 day Creativity Program with 4 other speakers from around the blog

Feburary I attended an presented at the 9th Florida Creativity Weekend Program, which I have done for 7 of the 9 years.

March I presented at the 2012 ACA – American Creativity Association’s International Conference in Ft. Lauderdale

April I presented and attended the 4th Atlanta Creativity Forum

June I presented for the 32nd year at the annual SRCUS – Southeastern Regional Credit Union School at UGA in Athens, Georgia.

June I also made one presentation at the 57th CPSI – Creative Problem Solving Institute held in Atlanta once again.
July I presented at the 17th Harriette Austin Writer’s Conference held at the UGA Continuing Education Center

Today’s workplaces are filled with challenges and potentials for unlimited numbers of ideas at the same time.  Yet most ideas are never expressed or shared in meetings.  As leaders we need to help generate and gather more ideas from our employees during our meetings from one on one to large general meetings.

Whether we say it or write it or simply listen or read it we need to improve our communications in both directions more today than ever before.  Communication is a truly active sport and needs all of us involved at all times.

Though we are paid for our individual work efforts it is our combined team efforts that truly make the greatest difference in our workplaces.  Too often we hold back from giving our best so that we FIT IN WITH THE REST.  The best leaders learn how to capitalize on the individual strengths of all employees while integrating their unique strengths, skills and knowledge.
