Alan spends most of his waking hours...

Since 1950 I have been traveling each year. 

1950 to 1961 I was in all 48 continental states in the US

plus parts of Canada and Mexico thanks to Eric & Joan Black.

Since 1977 I have been in 69 countries and a 49th state traveling and working. 

This part of my website is for sharing photos, journals, experiences

and lessons learned from my traveling.

I hope you enjoy visting the site often.

           As of July 2006 I have been to 67 countries               There are over 200 in the World Today!

           Some of them many times.

A more accurate map of the areas of the continents.  Greenland is actually smaller than Australia.

USA = 9, 631, 418 sq km,  Australia = 7, 617, 930 sq km,  Greenland = 2, 166, 086 sq km

Russia = 17, 079, 200 sq km,  Canada = 9, 976, 140 sq km , Singapore = 692.7 sq km

          40 Albums from South Africa             Japan 2005 trip to see Sakura Blossoms Festivals

So far during my life I have traveled to, worked in and or lived in 67 countries including

the US.   In 1977 with a backpack and a Euro Pass I traveled to 22 countries in Europe,

Eastern Europe, North Africa and the UK.  In 1978 I traveled in France and the UK for 5 weeks.

In 1982 I taught for the summer in the UGA Travel Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy and

traveled in the Netherlands for 2 weeks and across Europe from Milano for 10 days.

In 1990 I returned to the Netherlands to work with my first international clients for 10 days.

Since 1998 I have circled the globe 8 times

(5 completely around single trips)

traveling to over 50 countries, working and

giving presentations in 30+ of them

striving to S.P.R.E.A.D. creative thinking

throughout entire workplaces.

Thanks to my parents, Eric and Joan Black, I traveled in and through

48 mainland states before I turned 17 in 1961. 

Since then I have been back to many of them

to speak & consult, adding Hawaii to make my total 49.

from the 49 states I have traveled and worked in too.
